What is the Most Popular Thanksgiving Pie?

For me, the answer is clear: pumpkin pie is a Thanksgiving essential. It's not just a dessert for Thursday night—it’s also my favorite breakfast on Friday morning. Nothing feels more iconic for Thanksgiving than pumpkin pie, but not everyone shares the same opinion.

At Elation Real Estate, we decided to find out which pie is the true favorite. Our annual Thanksgiving Pie Giveaway served as a fun, informal survey. If you're unfamiliar with our tradition, each year we invite friends, family, and past clients to sign up for a free pie of their choice. The six flavors on offer (in no particular order) were:

• Apple
• Berry
• Banana Cream
• Lemon Meringue
• Pumpkin
• Chocolate Cream

This year, 77 people participated in the giveaway. Unsurprisingly, pumpkin pie claimed the top spot, but it was closer than expected. Only 29% (22 participants) chose pumpkin pie, while the other flavors split the votes fairly evenly. Banana Cream came in second with 13 votes, followed by Lemon Meringue in third with 12. The remaining three flavors—Apple, Berry, and Chocolate Cream—each garnered 10 votes.
