As a devoted advocate of companion animals and a passionate dog lover, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a director of the Board of Tri-Valley’s Valley Humane Society for 9 years, of which 5 of those were as the Chairman of the Board. I’m honored to support and play a role in furthering this wonderful organization’s lifesaving work, which provides comfort and care for nearly 800 Tri-Valley animals each year.
My husband and I have opened our home to host our annual Party for the Pooches fundraiser to benefit the Valley Humane Society. For 5 years, this lively and well-attended fundraiser has grown into a large event with 200+ guests joining us throughout the night. Due to the outpouring of donations received for the event’s auctions and raffles, the events have generated well in excess of $100,000 – with 100% of proceeds received by Valley Humane Society. We’re already looking forward to our next event and breaking our last event’s record contributions. Let us know if you’d like to be on the invitation list!
One of my greatest joys is spending time with our three dogs, Perla, Guido and Frankie. Perla is a 3-year-old boxer who wants to be loved and touched by everyone. Frankie, we believe, is a Chihuahua and Italian Greyhound mix that’s been a part of our family since we rescued him 13 years ago, and our newest addition, Guido, who is a senior dog that we adopted during COVID. We believe he is a Whippet. They are the joys of our life…whether we’re out for a long walk or hiking the nearby trails, these guys are along for the ride. Cozy Sunday mornings with our loves lounging nearby are simply the best!
We have 2 pet food drives per year benefiting Valley Humane Society
