As a devoted advocate of companion animals and a passionate dog lover, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a director of the Board of Tri-Valley’s Valley Humane Society for 12 years, of which 5 of those were as the Chairman of the Board. I’m honored to support and play a role in furthering this wonderful organization’s lifesaving work, which provides comfort and care for nearly 800 Tri-Valley animals each year.
My husband and I opened our home to host an annual Party for the Pooches fundraiser to benefit the Valley Humane Society. For 5 years, this lively and well-attended fundraiser grew into a large event with 200+ guests joining us throughout the night. Due to the outpouring of donations received for the event’s auctions and raffles, the events have generated well in excess of $100,000 – with 100% of proceeds received by Valley Humane Society. We’re looking forward to our next event and breaking our last event’s record contributions. Let us know if you’d like to be on the invitation list!
One of my greatest joys has always been spending time with our dogs. Today, our sweet Perla, a 6 year-old Boxer who loves everyone she meets, continues to fill our home with love and energy. We still hold dear the memories of our beloved Frankie, a Chihuahua and Italian Greyhound mix who was part of our family for 14 wonderful years, and Guido, our gentle Whippet mix whom we adopted during COVID. Though they’re no longer with us, they will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
